Alwine is not an artificial name. Alwine was a Brandenburger with heart and soul. She spent as much time as possible among the woods and meadows. In her garden, she grew fruits and vegetables, harvested, woke, prepared her own jams. She lived naturally with the seasons. In the summer she brought berries from the woods, in the fall mushrooms, and she always stocked up for the winter.
Alwine was the grandmother.
The Landhaus an den Spreewiesen shares her attachment to the land and its people, her love for the melancholy landscape and the often lonely nature, her passion for gardening, planting, harvesting and cooking - that's why the Landhaus was named after her.
In her spirit, the team of the Landhaus Alwine wants to offer its guests an authentic piece of Brandenburg, rooted in the Oder-Spree region with its flora, fauna, cultural and culinary traditions: the Landhaus Alwine an den Spreewiesen.
