Restaurant "Ragower" was built around 1600 as a grain mill on the west bank of the Schlaube river. Today it is a technical monument, being the only mill in the Schlaubetal valley that still has its original mill technology. The mill was in operation until 1968. And until 1964, they generated electricity here with turbines and a blade wheel. In the "Ragower Mühle" mill museum, visitors can find out interesting facts about the history of the mill and how flour was ground here in the ancient traditional way.
The restaurant's cosy atmosphere, excellent rural cuisine featuring fish and venison specialities and the caring homely service make a visit to the Ragower Mühle a very special experience. Guests particularly appreciate the beer garden, which is one reasons why the restaurant was awarded the title of "one of the most popular country restaurants in Germany".
