Gastronomy

A hundred years ago this was still a resting place for travellers by horse and cart, but today the restaurant tends to be frequented by modern motorised travellers, but also by people hiking along the 66 Lakes Hiking Trail for example. The old restaurant "Drei Linden" ("three lime trees" - but only one of the striking lime trees is left today) is now called "Restaurant Steinbeck". It is only 30 kilometres from Berlin, directly on the B 158 towards Bad Freienwalde and the neighbouring Poland.
The restaurant's four rooms seat a total of 100 guests. The room with fireplace is popular for smaller parties. During the summer, guests can sit on the quiet courtyard terrace, which seats 35.

They focus on German cuisine with fresh seasonal and regional products. All dishes are freshly prepared. A hunter has been supplying the kitchen with top quality game from local forests for years. They make their own cakes to grandma's old recipes, and the fruit comes from their own garden. There is a children's menu for the little guests. They also serve a large selection of Mövenpick ice cream (with different summer and winter menus).
