As part of the historic monastery gardens, which were redesigned in the French style in 1760 and are now one of the most important baroque parks in Brandenburg, the orangery was also restored according to plans from that time and has been open to the public since 2004. The historic garden with its citrus plants provides the perfect setting for the seasonal café "Orangery in the Baroque Garden" as well as for cultural events and functions. In winter, this special place is used to overwinter the numerous orange trees in the monastery complex.
The orangery is located to the east of the monastery church, with barrier-free access to the monastery garden via the south gate on Kirchstraße opposite the sports hall. The orangery in the baroque garden is the focal point of the beautiful Neuzelle monastery garden in the resort town in Brandenburg.
The orangery was reopened by Rahn Education in June 2022. The Rahn Education campus is located in the monastery building of the complex, which houses the independent grammar school with an international focus, the independent secondary school, the Clara Schumann Brandenburg music and art school, the language school in Neuzelle Abbey and modern boarding schools for students from all over the world in the magnificent buildings of the former Cistercian monastery.
