Gastronomy

Situated very close by the Grafenbrück lock and on the Berlin-Usedom long distance cycle route, this restaurant is a very special place: The lovingly restored brick and fieldstone building is Germany’s oldest administrative building, and serves German cuisine with down-to-earth traditional fare and dishes that are perfect for both short and long breaks.
The building once housed part of the Prussian royal hydraulic engineering management for the Finowkanal. The cosy dining area plays host to a further peculiarity with its unconventional ceiling construction – guests are seated beneath a huge wooden barrel. The spacious beer garden provides additional seating under huge, old trees. Tasteful details like the high-backed wooden chairs in the garden linger in the memory long after visiting.
Visitors by water on the Finowkanal will find a suitable landing stage near the Grafenbrück lock.
