In 2012, the brewery in the town on the River Spree resumed the 565-year tradition of brewing the Fürstenwalder Rathausbräu beer. The brewery is located in the historic vaulted basement of the cathedral city's "Altes Rathaus" (old town hall). In the brewery museum, you can find out all about the town's beer history over a freshly pulled Rathausbräu beer. Our unfiltered, full-bodied beers are brewed in a shiny copper kettle. The fresh and tangy Rathausbräu is rich in vitamins and minerals. During the brewery tour, our brewer will introduce you to the speciality "Roggenbier" (rye beer) and seasonal beers over delicious spent grain bread and mild beer brandy.
