This inn, not far from the Werbellinkanal, serves German and Austrian cuisine in a cosy environment. The establishment looks back on a long tradition, having served historical figures including Emperor William and East German leader Erich Honecker. A particular speciality are the game dishes from the Schorfheide region. A game buffet is served every first Friday of the month, accompanied by Austrian wines from the family vineyard.
The menu also caters for smaller appetites, with dishes such as the Brett’l Jause platter and baked potatoes, as well as soups and various salads. The extensive dessert menu also features a heavy Austrian influence, including Viennese-style apple strudel and Apfelrad’l (apple wheel).
The restaurant has 120 interior places, while there are also 25 places in the cosy room with a fireplace. The beer garden can seat an additional 40 guests.
