Lunapark in Buckow was created around 1910 as a spa park for the up-and-coming spa town of Bad Buckow. At that time the palace park was only open to the public on Sundays. The owners lived in the palace, later on a certain Countess zu Dohna resided there up until 1945. Lunapark – shaped like a crescent moon – is situated between Lake Buckow and Lake Weißer See and begins just behind the Brecht House. Here there are lovely views of the lakes and a network of paths that form part of the Buckow Terrainkurwege.
For a decade now, the highlight of the park has been the Ice Age Garden, where large boulders and display panels remind visitors of the formative power of the last Ice Age. At the park’s exit to Berliner Strasse there is a miniature golf course.
How to get there:
Car: A10 to Hellersdorf, B1/5 to Müncheberg, then B168
train: RB26 to Müncheberg, connecting bus 982 to Buckow or the railway Buckower Kleinbahn (April-October)
