The Dutch mill is located on the so called ‘Galgenberg’ (‘gallows hill’) in Turnow and has been family-owned since 1894. Visitors can learn interesting facts about the history and function of the mill. The mill was technically converted in the 1930s. The historic mill technology has since been powered via an electric motor.
The characteristic wind mill sails were taken down. The mill’s fascinating old technology, the functional lift that is over 100 years old, a look into the storks’ nest and the opportunity to watch barn owls or kestrels, make for an amazing experience.
Every year at Pentecost, the German Mill Day is celebrated with coffee, cake and music.
