The cable ferry Caputh, affectionately called Tussy II, links Caputh and Geltow on the Caputh Gemünde waterway, a subsection of the River Havel near Potsdam between Lake Templiner See and Lake Schwielowsee.
The ferry connection has existed since 1853, and today it is popular among motorists, cyclists and pedestrians alike. The indirect routes between villages via Ferch in the west or via Potsdam in the east amount to 20 kilometres each.
The tried and true ferry unites a cable drive with state-of-the-art technology and is a tourist attraction in Caputh.
