    Ever since its opening, the Schönwalde lido has been a popular destination among residents and guests alike. The lido was artificially created as long ago as 1933 from what was once a small lake and was opened to the public in 1934. The depth was set at 2.50 metres. In the middle of the lake there was originally a diving tower, but this was later removed for safety reasons. Here the depth is approximately 4 metres.
