This farm became well-known as the PILZHOF Dr. Schulz, which since 1996 has specialised in producing and processing exotic edible mushrooms including shiitake, oyster mushrooms and king oyster mushrooms following ecological agriculture guidelines.
In 2012 the business expanded to include the DESTILLERIE (‘distillery’), which handles the produce supplied by a nearby wild fruit and herb garden. The organic farm harvests its own wild fruit and herbs and processes these into syrup, jam, liquor and fruit brandy. Specialities: Herbal bitters ‘halbsowild’, ‘Absinth55’, ‘Gin’, ‘Wolke 7’, and rowanberry brandy.
Offers: coffee & cake every Saturday, seasonal drinks and mushroom stir-fry (using our own mushrooms), alternating gallery in the distillery building, tasting (to be booked in advance, maximum of 20 people)
