Historic monuments and sites

The district of Jühnsdorf and the local manor have frequently changed names and owners over the course of centuries. At the end of the 18th century, it came into the ownership of the von der Groeben family and in 1823 it went to the von dem Knesebeck family. Friedrich-Wilhelm von dem Knesebeck had a simple manor house built in Jühnsdorf in 1824, which was redesigned and extended in the 1860s. The house’s current appearance was heavily determined by the last major reconstruction at the beginning of the 20th century.
In the mid-1920s, the district of Teltow took over the idyllic estate and used it as the seat of the District Administrator. After 1945, the former manor house was used as a district agricultural college and apprentices’ residence, among other things. Today, the house is in private ownership and is used as a residence and consulting rooms. The park has also been gradually rebuilt.
The estate is generally open to the public for special occasions, such as Open Monuments Day.
