The Heimatstube/Museumsscheune (local history parlour/museum barn) in Diedersdorf provides a small insight into village life in Mark Brandenburg over the last 100 years. The local history parlour has been lovingly fitted out with everyday objects that were in use up until the mid-20th century and in part beyond, from a cast iron oven to a washtub and washboard to bed linen and a spinning wheel. The objects were mostly provided by local residents.
Equipment that was needed on the farm to work the land can also be seen in the museum barn and on the grounds. The large bread oven is fired up for special occasions and traditional bread and tray bakes are baked.
