Liebenberg castle church is located on the north side of the castle courtyard; slightly elevated and to the south next to it is the old cemetery. The church is a 13th century fieldstone building, completely renovated after the fire of 1892, with a western tower and eastern crypt extension.
The doors of the medieval structure are still preserved; the western entrance and the western south entrance are still in use, while the eastern south entrance is walled up. The interior has been completely refurbished.
