The cinema of the Filmmuseum Potsdam is the only film theatre in the historic city centre of Potsdam and invites you to historical feature films and documentaries as well as selected current productions. Special children's films complement the programme on Saturday and Sunday. The screenings are regularly framed by events with guests and discussions with the public. Silent films are accompanied by live music on the Welte cinema organ. In addition to the programme, there is the option of renting the foyer and the cinema hall: for events, celebrations and special events in a historic yet modern setting.
New cinema seats have been inviting since August 2022. Barriers were further broken down. There are cinema seats for people in wheelchairs and the possibility of reaching the cinema hall through the main entrance using the ramp.
