Himmel und Hölle view point

The Himmel und Hölle viewpoint is located in the Schlaubetal Nature Park above the Großer Treppelsee lake between Dammendorf and Bremsdorfer Mühle. A sign on the footpath and cycle path along the B 246 shows the way up. From here, there is a wide view over the lake and the wooded shore areas. An information board provides information about the history of the site, which was used by the monks of the Neuzell monastery.
On the opposite shore there is a campsite with a bathing area and the ‘Bremsdorfer Mühle’ youth hostel. Hiking trails on the west bank lead to the birdwatching hut and on to the Siehdichum forester's lodge. The Schlaubetal hiking trail, the Großer Treppelsee circular trail and the Planfließ nature trail are also recommended.
