Inselbühne on the Freundschaftsinsel

The romantic open-air stage is now a place for encounters of all kinds. Potsdam's colorful art and culture scene meets here. Theater, dance, readings and much more take place in a family environment under the open sky. Cheers to the World Youth Festival in 1973. Without it, the green island stage would not exist. The last event took place in 2012 and the demolition of the open stage was planned. Thanks to the good instinct of the Potsdam Community Foundation, the demolition was prevented. Game operations started in 2021 with a large musical program by the Brandenburg State Police Orchestra. Melodies from opera, operetta, musical and jazz can now be heard on the island again. At the moment, a maximum of 140 people can visit the Inselbühne. A project by the Potsdam Community Foundation.
