The Kalkberg church in Rüdersdorf impresses with its architecture made of regional limestone and its neo-Gothic style. Characteristic features include the lead-grey walls, the ornate stained glass windows and the striking, slightly protruding tower with a clock by clockmaker Roehsner.
Designed by Friedrich August Stüler, the church was consecrated in 1873. Despite severe damage in April 1945, which was initially only repaired in a makeshift manner, the church was extensively renovated from 1991. The building has been a listed building since 1998 and is considered an important example of regional architecture.
