The two-story post office building standing in today's center of Rüdersdorf was built in 1904 according to designs by the Potsdam post office building councilor Wank as a so-called rental post office building for the Kalkberge district.
The clinker brick building with plastered wall surfaces, corner pilasters, cornice bands and window frames, whose soffits are set off by green-glazed plain tiles, is a significant component of Rüdersdorf's townscape and urban development. The relief of the imperial coat of arms was removed in 1945.
