Hennickendorf church is one of the village's historical landmarks and was originally built around 1250 as a fortified church. Today, only a few elements still bear witness to its former function as a Cistercian church, supplemented by later additions such as the square brick tower from 1863 and the sacristy from 1911.
The interior houses a baroque Hattenkerell carved altar from 1720, which came to Hennickendorf in 1962. The organ, built in 1876/77 by Albert Lang from Berlin, also impresses with its historic sound. The church is a living testimony to regional architecture and history.
