Castles

Belonging to the association of the three StreleBurg castles, Friedland Castle was also owned by the Knights of Strele. The roots of this ancient Lusatian dominion can be traced to the burgraviate of Strehla on the Elbe in Saxony.
Besides the two StreleBurg castles Beeskow and Storkow, the castle set in the tranquil Friedland also has an impressive and surprising history, as well as being one of the best preserved castles in Brandenburg.

1301 First documented mention
1533 Property of the Order of St. John
