Lake Storkower See is located in the hilly landscape of Saarower Hügelland. The oblong-shaped lake basin was formed by the melt water of the last Ice Age. At its southern tip, the lake is connected to Lake Scharmützelsee. This canal was created in the mid-18th century.
The slightly sloping site of the Wolfswinkel bathing area allows for great views across the lake, while there is plenty of room for playing and sunbathing on the wide and inviting sandy beach. Beach volleyball enthusiasts will appreciate the designated court. With various seating areas and a sunbathing lawn, the picturesquely situated bathing area has enough room for many visitors. Above the premises there are a snack bar and a toilet. Barbecues are permitted. Dogs must be kept on a leash and are not permitted in the water.
The water in the bathing area is regularly monitored by the district health authority in accordance with the Brandenburg Bathing Water Ordinance and is of excellent quality.
