Affen-Zoo Jocksdorf e.V.

The Affen-Zoo is a popular destination for a day out to the south of Forst (Lausitz). The zoo is home to over ten ape species including bonnet macaques, common marmosets and Bolivian squirrel monkeys, as well as kangaroos, tortoises and emus. The zoo’s focus is on protecting animals and nature. All money from admission fees, donations and sponsorship is used for the animals in the zoo. We will be happy to answer any questions regarding the way the animals are kept and cared for. Visits are also suitable for project days for school classes. There is a show feeding with commentary every day at 4 p.m.
Guests can enjoy a snack, a coffee or a snack in the tropical building and on the terrace, while our famous Hefeplinsen (a type of yeast pancake) are prepared on weekends during peak season.
