Gutspark Hirschfelde is an estate park situated in the district of Barnim, in the town district of Hirschfelde in Werneuchen, around 20 kilometres from the northeastern edge of Berlin and not far from the Gamengrund.
The history of Gutspark Hirschfelde goes back to the mid-eighteenth century. In the mid-19th century the property was a profitable country estate with a stately courtyard, large barns and stables, as well as a distillery.
The estate had its cultural heyday at the start of the 20th century under Eduard Arnhold, who had the park expanded and remodelled into a sculpture park, the first major example of its kind. One of the sculptures that once adorned the park, the statue of a stag, is still standing in Hirschfelde, and now graces the centre of the village.
The park is open to the public and its geographical position puts it in the Pomerania region, where it is under monument protection. The natural theatre has been back in use for several years now and is used for theatrical performances by children and teenagers.
