The boulder garden is an outdoor display of boulders found in the local pits or in the course of agricultural work. Alongside the natural stones, works by twelve contemporary artists are shown in an open air sculpture exhibition.
There is a small information hut near the entrance to the grounds. Right next to this, the vegetation zones of the post-glacial period are recreated, along with an exhibition of treated natural stones and a fossil search area for processing the boulders. The rear of the garden represents two other vegetation zones - the interglacial period and the post-interglacial period. In the middle, there is a kettle hole, which visitors can get to via a wooden walkway.
Heading east in the direction of Fresdorf, it connects to a geological hiking trail that leads to the mining gravel pits.
