Located right by the River Dahme, the Kinderwald children’s forest invites young visitors to the forest to play and explore. There are all sorts of tree varieties growing in the forest, which is on the site of the former Buchholz forestry. Information panels explain the natural processes in the natural world nearby and provide information about the animals of the forests and about dangers in and for the forest. In the little forest theatre, children can perform their own plays and a bee hotel provides a fascinating insight into the inside of a beehive. A wooden hut, climbing trees, an insect hotel plus a children’s high chair and much more make sure that children love this fantastic forest experience. The freely accessible site also has a sandpit and picnic benches.
