The picturesque Unterseeinsel island lies in the middle of the lake, which can be reached from Bantikow and the Kyritz Waldkolonie district by ferry.
Lake Kyritzer Untersee nestles within a magnificent area of mixed woodland. Reed beds give the lake an unspoilt appearance and it is home to many water animals that you will see on your cycle tour.
Two lidos in Kyritz and Wusterhausen/Dosse, as well as picturesque natural bathing areas, are perfect for a quick refreshing dip in the cooling water. And there are plenty of places to stop off for a quick snack or drink. Several eateries on the shores of the lake look forward to welcoming you.

How to get there:
- Public transport: Take the RE2 (rapid transit train) (Wismar) from Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) to Neustadt (Dosse). From here take the RB73 regional train to Kyritz (about 1.5 hours).
- Car: From Berlin via the B5 to Kyritz (about 1.5 hours).

- Wusterhausen/Dosse: historic town centre with St. Peter and Paul Church, Wegemuseum in the Herbstschen Haus
