Set amid pine forests, meadows and orchards, this attractive fishing village nestles beautifully at the southern tip of Lake Schwielowsee. Over the centuries, many artists have been inspired by the enchanting natural landscape here.
From the car park you can get to various points of interest such as the Havelland painters' colony museum, the Obstkistenbühne (outdoor theatre), the waterfront promenade, the lido (approximately 1.5 kilometres) and Wietkiekenberg. From the observation tower on Wietkiekenberg there is a wonderful view of the Havel lakeland landscape. Cultural events take place regularly at the small Fischerkirche (fishermen's church) or in the Kulturscheune.
