The restaurant "Am Reitweiner Sporn" has a long tradition. At the beginning of the 20th century it served as a meeting place for clubs and especially estate workers. Just behind the restaurant, the old Frankfurter Strasse leads up to the "Reitweiner Sporn", a medieval trade route which took you from Leipzig to Frankfurt an der Oder and from there via Reitwein to Küstrin and all the way to Stettin. Heavily loaded carts and covered wagons made their way across the excruciatingly difficult dirt road and, over the centuries, a magnificent and rare (for the region) sunken road with fern-covered slopes on both sides was formed this way.
To this day, people still like to meet up for a beer after work at "Am Reitweiner Sporn". And in the summer, hiking and cycling groups like to take a little detour from the "Reitweiner Sporn" route to sit on the terrace to relax and have a chat. The menu features hearty dishes such as schnitzel and goulash. The dining area is wheelchair accessible. There is a separate menu for children. You can play darts here or try your luck at the slot machines. In nice weather, you can sit on the terrace.
