The museum of palaeontology, archaeology and the modern era is managed by the local history association Gusow-Platkow e.V. The museum’s objective is to process and present regional history using a wide range of forms and media. The exhibition ‘Sehenswertes’ (‘Things worth seeing’) was opened on the occasion of the town’s 775th birthday. Visitors enjoy learning about topics relating to the pre and early history of Platkow, the history of schooling, local business life, and the time of World War II.
